Admissions Process:
- Complete the
Application for Admission and send it to the specified
address; please be sure to include the application fee.
- Information
about the Program Orientation Workshop will be sent to you.
The Program Orientation Workshop is the beginning point of
the degree program. During the workshop, faculty will
address specific questions about the requirements of the
degree program.
- A
transportation form and a reservation form will also be sent
to you. Complete and submit each one. Shuttle
service, if needed, and on-campus lodging will be scheduled
upon receipt of your forms.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCESS ADMISSION
REQUIREMENTS
FOR MASTER OF LETTERS (MLITT) STUDY

A completed
application for admission with a $45.00
non-refundable application fee.

Official transcripts sent directly from each college and
university previously attended.

Three current letters of recommendation sent directly from
educators or professionals addressing the ability of the
applicant to adequately complete graduate work, and showing
good professional standing, moral character and conduct,
personal stability, and maturity.

Validation of the applicant's professional experience,
certification, and/or credentials.

Master's-level graduate courses require possession of a BA
or its academic equivalent. Academic equivalence is
determined by the admissions committee based on past
education, expertise, and maturity of the applicant. It may
include any combination of the following: over 120
undergraduate hours, the combination of undergraduate
credits, continuing education units and/or undergraduate
hours plus extensive work in a recognized field, life
experience or significant publications documented by a
portfolio.

A minimum of 3 years of acceptable professional experience.

Minimum age of 25.

A grade average of B or above in Master's-level studies
and/or satisfactory evidence of present ability to produce
at the graduate level. Students with weak transcripts, a
grade average below B, or less than 30 cohesive semester
hours may enhance their position with the Admissions
Committee by submitting scores from the Graduate Record
Examination. GRE tests are administrated by Educational
Testing Service (ETS), Box 955-R, Princeton, NJ 08541 (www.gre.org).

Admission to graduate study does not imply Matriculation for
a degree course or to Candidacy for a graduate degree.
Students must assume responsibility for becoming fully
acquainted with regulations and requirements of the Oxford/ACRSS
program.

Documented learning experience acquired through educational
and job related growth may be acceptable professional
experience for admission. See section "Assessment of
Time-Credit for Professional Experience." No academic credit
may be given for such an assessment.

Any exceptions must have approval of the Faculty Senate.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR DOCTOR OF
PHILOSOPHY (DPHIL)

Doctoral level matriculation requires possession of an
acceptable Master's-level master's level degree course of
study which provided at least 30 cohesive semester hours in
support of the DPhil Course of Study.

Minimum age of 26.

A grade average of B or above in Master's-level studies
and/or satisfactory evidence of present ability to produce
at the graduate level. Students with weak transcripts, a
